About Tasha

When I reflect on my life so far, it has been rooted in a love of drawing and listening to people’s stories. Whether I was doodling in Calculus class or running focus groups for Fortune 500 brands in my first job out of college - my creativity and empathy have always been the driving forces of my decisions and my career.

What started as one-off signage projects for friends’ wedding gifts has blossomed into a full-fledged design studio that provides me the opportunity to connect with my clients, listen to the objective of their gathering and what makes it special to them, and create experiences that reflect all those unique nuances. In short, I would love the chance to work with you and visually communicate all the goodness and intention of your next big event.

Outside of calligraphy and events, I currently live in Brooklyn and enjoy spending time with friends and family, checking out the New York restaurant scene, and attending HIIT and spin classes.

Why “Draw Bridge?”

I was on the F train one day shortly after signing the lease on my studio space, and saw a boy drawing the Manhattan Bridge in his notebook. It came to me instantly - my studio should be called Draw Bridge Design, as a testament to the type of work I do and where I do it. I was so enthralled with his artwork that I went up to him and his parents before they got off the train and asked for a copy of his drawing. As fate would have it, the family was visiting New York from Brazil and it was the boy’s first time seeing the Bridge. His sense of wonder is so apparent to me in the drawing - which his parents emailed to me later that day - and it inspired Draw Bridge’s logo design as well.

The Manhattan Bridge has also been the backdrop of my own New York love story - my husband and I had our first date right next to it, and we live in Dumbo now. Brooklyn continuously inspires me and I am proud to call it home!
